In 1908 James Porter became the first head of the newly formed UT Department of Physics and Astronomy and we’ve been graduating exceptional students ever since. Physics alumni have gone on to fantastic careers in industry, academia, research, law, medicine, architecture—anywhere creative problem-solving and critical thinking skills are needed.

You can see where a few of our bachelor’s graduates are now, as well as where some of our master’s and doctoral alumni have landed. We would love to hear from you and know what you’re up to!
